Bethuel Netshiswinzhe (PhD)
Bethuel is a business executive with a strong background in infrastructure delivery management and more than 25 years of experience in the development sector. He currently manages a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and real estate developments through companies where he is a director and shareholder.
He has worked at executive leadership level in public-sector organizations, including as Head of Department at the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development and Property Management, where he managed a medium-term infrastructure development pipeline of more than 500 projects with a budget of R10.8 billion. He was also a Divisional Executive at the Development Bank of Southern Africa, leading public-sector investment operations in Gauteng, North West, and Limpopo.
Bethuel holds a PhD from the University of Johannesburg School of Engineering and the Built Environment, an MBA from Henley Business School at the University of Reading, a Master of Social Science in Policy and Planning from the University of Cape Town, and a Bachelor of Social Science Honours from the University of Cape Town.
His current professional interests include integrated infrastructure delivery management, technology and artificial intelligence in infrastructure management, climate change, sustainable infrastructure development, long-term development planning, and growth strategies.
He is the author of An Integrated Infrastructure Delivery Model for Developing Economies: Planning and Delivery Management Attributes, published by Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group, London, in 2023.
